We move on to our Centennial Interview Series features of three-time winners of the Indianapolis 500, beginning with this conversation with Johnny Rutherford. Johnny spoke about his career at the Speedway in excellent detail, reaching back to the events that led to him arriving at IMS for the first time before talking about his rookie year in 1963 and beyond. He discussed his experiences driving for McLaren and of driving the Chapparal that he drove to victory for Jim Hall. He also shared his memories of legendary racer Jim Clark. After talking about how IMS has changed since his early career and what sets it apart from other tracks in the world, Johnny concluded by sharing with us what Indy means to him.
