For any fight fans out there, he is looking to get back into the Octagon this October.

2:45 PM CT (John) — I am back in the house for race day (night) here at Texas Motor Speedway. The teams are just starting to do final preparation on the cars for a systems check at 4 PM local time.
Pace car rides are just finishing up, and the IndyCar Experience two seaters should be hitting the track any minute.
James Hinchcliffe was prowling the garage area holding a couple of handmade signs, so I would expect that some social media shenanigans may be forthcoming soon.
It’s another hot one, so just grab a cold beverage and be ready to click on the refresh button here. I’ll do my best to keep you in the loop with all of the day’s activity.

FRIDAY
7:25 PM CT (John) — Well, the final IndyCar session for the day has just wrapped up here at Texas Motor Speedway. Scott Dixon paced free practice 2 with teammates Tony Kanaan and Ryan Briscoe rounding out the top 3. Full results will be posted to the More Front Wing Event Summary page when available.
The session boasted a lot of action as the drivers and teams seemed intent on getting a better feel for how their cars would react in traffic. There were a couple of big moments for the guys out there, and a lot of side by side running. It looks like we might have a good formula in place for an exciting race tomorrow.
One minor penalty note: Helio Castroneves was penalized four minutes at the end of the session for being late to the mandatory weigh-in following free practice 1.
That will close up shop for me here tonight, but I will be back after lunch tomorrow to keep you all up to date on the day’s (and night’s) events. Until then…
