Enjoyed the podcast as usual. I thought your discussion about the Detroit double headers was fair, but one of the arguments against it originally is that it favours those three tracks in the championship and hurts the ‘balance’ of ovals and twisties. Would Mike Conway be placing so strongly in the championship if he had run at three different tracks? Unlikely I feel.
However I really enjoyed the double header. I came all the way from England to see my first Indycar races! I had high expectations coming into the weekend about the experience but it far surpassed everything I imagined, mainly because of the generosity of other fans.
