For my latest article in Toronto Star Wheels, I had the opportunity to attend this year’s Indianapolis 500 as a guest of Chevrolet. My assignment was to take a closer look at exactly what it is about Indy that draws so many people from all walks of life together to that one special place each May.

The article appeared in print in last Saturday’s edition of Wheels; those in the Toronto area who still have the paper kicking around can find it on the center spread of Wheels on page W12.

It’s also available online — please click the link below to be redirected to the Wheels.ca website.

A heartfelt thank you also goes out to Pippa Mann for taking time out of her race morning preparations to meet with fans at the Social Media Garage Tweet-up.

And finally, thank you to every single one of our readers and listeners who took the time to introduce yourselves (or reintroduce yourselves, or say hello for the hundredth time) at events all weekend long. Without all of you, we’d just be sitting here yapping at ourselves. Thank you so much for caring about what we do. One of the best parts of this whole motorsport writing deal is meeting and getting to know so many great people who all share a common passion for racing.
