– 20-Carpenter off between turns 4 and 5 with 13 minutes to go. Stuck in the wet ground off track; red flag.
– 27-Hinchcliffe spun during the red flag for 20-Carpenter, stalled engine.
– 10-Franchitti spun at the end of the esses and hit the tire barrier with 10 minutes to go; red flag.
– 20-Carpenter off again in turn 4 during red flag for Franchitti. Buried deep in gravel trap.
– 22-Servia off in turn 10 with 9 minutes to go; red flag continued.
– 38-Rahal spun at start/finish with 30 seconds to go. Engine remained fired and he continued.
– 20-Carpenter off at turn 8 at the end of the session.
