This week, Jake Query of the IMS Radio Network returns to the More Front Wing podcast. With Jake having been perched in a spotters’ stand in turn 2 on Sunday reporting for the Radio Network, Paul sitting in Tower Terrace listening to the track PA, and Steph at home watching the ABC broadcast, the three different perspectives came together to create a well-rounded analysis of Sunday’s Indianapolis 500. The group discusses the performances delivered by many of the drivers among field of 33 — including eventual winner Dario Franchitti as well as Tony Kanaan, Ed Carpenter, and Marco Andretti — and also reviews the engine situation, the performance of the DW12, the atmosphere of the day, the crowd reactions to the racing and the Dan Wheldon tributes, and much more. The Randy Bernard witch hunt also draws some discussion just prior to a brief preview of the upcoming Detroit Chevrolet Belle Isle Grand Prix.
