Saavedra joins Dragon Racing

LOS ANGELES, CA. (February 11, 2012) – Dragon Racing and TRUECAR, Inc. today announced that they have added Sebastian Saavedra to their 2013 IZOD IndyCar Series championship program. Saavedra will pilot the #6 TRUECAR Dragon Racing Chevy entry, competing alongside teammate and 4-time champion Sebastien Bourdais, who will once again be at the wheel of the #7 Dragon Racing Entry.

“We are very excited to have Sebastian join Dragon Racing for 2013 and beyond,” said Jay Penske, Owner and President of Dragon Racing. “I have been watching Sebastian’s rapid progression through the various series’ and I truly believe he is the perfect teammate for Bourdais. I look forward to seeing the results of their collaboration, and seeing them both on the podium many times this year.”

Dragon Racing has recently expanded its operations to include a facility in Indianapolis and will make several personnel and sponsorship announcements in the next few weeks as it prepares for the first race of the 2013 season on March 24 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
