They analyze the event from top to bottom, including the messy start, the delayed yellow flag that allowed the leaders to complete green flag pit stops, the perception of inconsistency regarding the penalty issued to Dario Franchitti, the post-race penalty to Helio Castroneves and his subsequent Twitter tirade, and much more. They also discuss the status of the 2012 INDYCAR schedule, the reworked $5 million Vegas Challenge, and the Versus commentating team, among other topics.

I really enjoy the podcast. I just want to give a shout out to Paul on this one. I agree with his take on Kevin er…Ryan Briscoe.
We are all human, it was a simple slip up that was caught right after he said it. It’s one thing to make a little joke about it, but it’s another thing to go over the top with criticism of the Vs. broadcast crew not knowing the drivers. I have seen some of that on the forums and twitter, etc. I agree with Paul; people seem to just jump on any little thing and blow it up to huge levels of criticism.
I can’t even count the number of times during the day that I have called my own kids the other one’s name or (yes even) the dog’s name. and then immediately catching it, etc. It doesn’t mean I don’t know their names, etc.
Anyhow, Paul’s thoughts resonated with me. Keep up the good work! I enjoy the podcasts and look forward to them each week.
Totally agree with Rick. It was a simple slip up. When I said something about it on Twitter, it was simply poking fun at a little gaffe on Bob’s part. It’s disappointing to hear that people out there on Twitter could possibly think that somebody of Bob’s stature and history would forget a 6-time race winner’s first name, and then spend the rest of the race harping on it as if it was indicative of a lack of professionalism. Some people truly do need to do a better job of looking in the mirror before opening their mouths.
Oh, and good show, by the way. I have enjoyed the recent guests, but it was kind of nice to just hear Paul and Steph parrying back and forth for once. I wouldn’t be disappointed to have it just be the two of you once every couple of months, if you so desire. Keep up the great work.
