A statement was released by the Indy Racing League concerning the response of the Holmatro Safety Team to the accident of Simona de Silvestro during Saturday night’s Firestone 550k at Texas Motor Speedway.

During Saturday night’s running of the Firestone 550k at Texas Motor Speedway, the usually brilliant and unflappable Holmatro Safety Team, which follows the IZOD IndyCar Series to each event during the season, was involved in one of the scariest scenes in recent memory.
